Waikiki dive Bar Tour II

OK, someone had to do another Waikiki Dive Bar II Tour and it was us.

Jeff, Neal, and Chelsea took the jaunt Halloween 2012.  This is the route we took from the Ilikai:

 Of course we needed a Fairy:

Neal sprained his ankle less than a 1/4 mile from the Ilikai.  Somehow limped through the dive bar tour......


1st stop:


Kings Pub - HAWAIIAN MONARCH HOTEL   444 NIU ST  WAIKIKI    (Ala Wai/Niu)

2nd stop:



Bacchus Bar 408 Lewers Street, Honolulu, HI

Bacchus was a super hero/Roman themed bar.   Apparently Bacchus was the God of Grapes/Wine.  A gay bar where all the patrons were friendly.   They had a 2 for 1 deal when we were there.  Captain America was lurking somewhere.   Fun place with good music.



3rd stop:

Honolulu Tavern 417 Nohonani St., #C Honolulu, Hi. 96815  (Nohonani/Kuhio)

Very small tavern off Kuhio Street.   Food and drink with daily specials.   Friendly "Cheers" type place with darts and other pub games.  Very friendly bartender



4th stop:

Me Too BBQ @ The Royal Grove for dinner

Great place for pigging out.  $9 gets you a huge entree with rice plus 4 sides.   I had the Katsu Chicken / rice / broccoli / sweet potato / Kemchi.  Yum yum!

5th stop


Lava rock Lounge 2330 Kalakaua Avenue
       ***Could not find in the Kalakaua Halloween crowds ***

6th stop

In Between- 2155 Lauula Street  Kalakaua/Lewers

2nd gay bar of the night.  Gets the record for difficulty in finding.   predominately gay crowd and also got the record for being small.  Maybe 30' long.  Full bar with Karaoke.   Fun place.  Could use a few good singers.


7th stop


Wailana Lounge 1816 Ala Moana

Somehow I limped here with Fairy being of no help.   We had MaiTai's and watched yet more Karaoke.  Fairy was on strike with regards to one more song.  Good singers here.
